The project will formally train selected representatives on the important aspects of the Fair Trade world to be effective trainers. Once trained, their job will be to develop understanding of fair trade among Indian micro enterprises and producer groups.

The project will deliver many benefits for its participants including a tool kit to help train the Indian fair trade producers on Fair Trade

Informational and educational materials, written in various languages, for reference and knowledge transfer

Ten trainers from Indian fair trade organisations will be trained on fair trade and will be responsible for increasing the understanding of fair trade towards adhering to its standards groups.

FTF-I also facilitates producers' capacity building to enable better domestic and exports market access, aimed at their all round sustainable development. FTF-I is a member of IFAT (International Fair Trade Association) & AFTF (Asia Fair Trade Forum)
