Market Access

FTF-I promotes socially responsible and sustainable consumption through working at different levels. Broadening the market base in country has potential to provide immediate benefits for poor producers, who are looking for a sustainable income source rather than just access to the export markets. Keeping this in mind development of Domestic Fair Trade market is a critical area and this is focus of work.

FTF-I has been able to create the FAIR TRADE INDIA umbrella brand under which the brand shops sell fairly produced products to the end consumers. The brand shops also play an important role to impart knowledge and create awareness about Fair Trade among the Indian consumers.

FTF-I is involved in organising various fairs and exhibitions for its members in collaboration with government organisations- Office of Development Commissioner of Handicrafts, Export Promotion Council for handicrafts (EPCH) and Federation of Indian Exporters Organisation (FIEO).
