‘Sadhna’, Jagdish Temple road, Udaipur is the 23rd shop under FAIR TRADE INDIA brand. The shop was relaunched as ‘Sadhna FAIR TRADE INDIA’ shop in a formal ceremony organised on 5th March 2013.
Artisans from producer groups, buyers and board members of Sadhna took part in the ceremony. Media persons, government officials and representatives of development organisations were also invited to the ceremony. The FAIR TRADE INDIA branding initiative is being taken up with the support of the European Union and HIVOS under the ProSustain project.
Sadhna now offers more
variety of products sourced from several Fair Trade groups in India, in addition to the garments in cotton and silk being produced by its groups. The latest additions to Sadhna’s product range are Dokra crafts and brass jewellery. Sadhna’s shop at the Old Fatehpura, Udaipur had already come under the FAIR TRADE INDIA brand last year. The 23 FAIR TRADE INDIA shops collectively offers a wide variety of products ranging from
handicrafts and lifestyle to food.
We are also inviting all to celebrate 8th March – the International Women’s Day with FAIR TRADE INDIA shops. Two more shops, owned by Orupa, situated at Bhubaneswar are formally coming under the FAIR TRADE INDIA brand on 13th March 2013.
