FTF-India new Kilmora Shop launched by Kumaon Grameen Udyog

New Fair Trade Store at Kainchi, Nainital district, Uttarakhand

The store at Kainchi is the latest addition to our retail outlets, which was launched in June 2013. The store is located just off the main road between Bhowali and Almora near the famous Kainchi Dham – about 7 km from Bhowali.

Indian Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Show 2013 (IFJAS13) was organized by Export promotion Council of India (EPCH) between 12th to 14th July 2013 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, New Delhi.  Fair Trade Theme Pavilion, as part of IFJAS’13  was an excellent opportunity and an occasion to showcase range of Fair Trade products—Jewellery, Scarves &Stoles, range of Bags and Fashion accessories, Silk & Kalamkari printed Scarves, Tribal Jewellery and Bags from Recycled materials and embossed Leather bags.

FTF-I Seminar on 'Fair Trade Approach for Sustainable Consumption'

A Seminar on "Fair Trade Approach for Sustainable Consumption", organized by Fair Trade Forum India was held on 27th June 2013 at Hotel Shangri-La's Eros, Ashoka Road, New Delhi. The seminar was held to disseminate the outputs of the 3 year long ProSustain project, funded by European Union & HiVOS, Netherlands. The project was partnered with Shop for Change, Mumbai & IRFT, Mumbai.

Training on Retail Operations

President FTF-I gave the introductory address. Twenty eight personnel including shop managers and domestic marketing executives from member organisations of FTF-I participated in the workshop. The workshop was organised with the knowledge partnership of Indian Retail School New Delhi (IRS). The participants were trained on important aspects of retail such as Communication Skills, Customer Service and Retail Selling Skills, Store Operations, Profitability and Visual Merchandising.
