Technical Help Desk

Setting up a technical resource centre that will provide information, guidelines, consultancy to craft producer groups through computer/website, telephone and personally. This will address specific issues/problems of individual craft producers in terms of compliance to standards, quality control, technology adoption, environmental sustainability etc. – acting as a “HELPLINE”  for the craft producers. All FT Producers in India can benefit from the Helpline.

Exchange Visit

•  The organizations having similar concerns can share the information/ learning/ outputs of the projects by visiting direct beneficiaries of pilot project.
•  The opportunity of visits can be availed by all the participants of the kick off seminar of the project including the direct beneficiaries of the pilot project.
•  Those who want to avail the facility of exchange visits can send the application in the specific format to FTF-I and a copy to FTA.
•  The cost of travel will be reimbursed subject to approval of FTF-I, FTA core team
•  The schedule of the visit will be decided in coordination with FTF-I

Exposure trip to IHGF-2006

The participants of the pilot projects will be invited to make an exposure trips to the India International Handicrafts and Gifts Fair (Spring) 2005.

•  Articles in magazines
•  A facilitating visit for invited Press/ TV reporters
•  Press Conference/ Dinner Meeting with press Persons at Bangalore before the End Seminar
•  Making of a TV Documentary on the impacts of the project
•  The participants are supposed to generate publicity about the programme among local media to increase visibility of the project; such efforts should be done in consultation with the National Secretariat of FTF-I

End seminar

•  End seminar 15 -16 December 2006 (tentative)
•  Participants: All organizations who took part in the kick off seminar will be invited to the end seminar.
•  The outcomes/ impacts of the project will be presented to explore the scope of further dissemination towards building up the capacity of more and more deserving artisans.
