Fair Trade Fair at IIFT-Quo Vadis

Fair Trade Forum – India participated at the Fair Trade Fair organized at Quo Vadis 2011, the Annual Management and Cultural Festival of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. Aparajita Trust, Mesh, Tara Projects, Literacy India and FTCI – members of FTF-I participated in the Fair. The concept of Fair Trade, the activities of FTF-I and ‘FAIR TRADE INDIA’ brand were explained to the gathering, which includes, students, academicians and corporate representatives during the cultural events organized as part of Quo Vadis.

In inaugural session of Quo Vadis, Iytha Mallikarjuna, Executive Director of FTF-I and O.P.Yadav, Director-Programs shared FTF-I's major activities with the students, faculty and guests.

The event was fruitful in terms of visibility for 'FAIR TRADE INDIA' brand. The music performances by singers Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan and Farhan Khan  helped to get enormous visibility for FAIR TRADE INDIA brand.

 

FTF-I members received encouraging response from the visitors, especially on 20th November, the concluding day of the event. Besides, display and sale of handicrafts, FTF-I organized ‘I Support Fair Trade’ campaign as part of the event. The Fair Trade Fair at Quo Vadis was organized as part of the ProSustain project supported by the European Union.
